VISIT BY ESTONIAN CHOIR

St Mary's, Riverhead will be welcoming a large group of Estonian Choir Singers on Saturday/Sunday, 20/21 October 2018. The Choir will be holding a Concert in St Mary's Church, Riverhead on Sunday, 21 October 2018 at 2.00pm. All are welcome.

TRAIDCRAFT CHRISTMAS CARD SALE

The Traidcraft Christmas Card sale takes place on Saturday, 3 November 2018, between 10am and Noon, in the Church Hall.  Please support.

BARBARA STRUDWICK RIP

Barbara Strudwick passed away peacefully at Kippington Nursing Home recently. Barbara was a very longstanding member of our Church, having served as a Churchwarden at Dunton Green for many years. Her funeral is to be held in the Church on Tuesday, 23 October 2018 at 2.30pm, and afterwards in the Church Hall to which all are welcome.

BIBLE STUDY GROUP

We resume from Monday, 17 September 2018 and meet weekly in the Church at 10.00am to study, in this session, Exodus 1-18.  Everyone welcome to join us.

THREE PARISHES CONSULTATION - UPDATE

A Special meeting of the PCC was held in the Church Hall after the 9:30am Service on Sunday, 24 June 2018 to give consideration to the Report now available from the joint Three Parishes meeting held on Saturday, 12 May 2018, and which had been arranged by the Archdeacon. Other Church members were invited to attend the Special PCC meeting.  There was a further short meeting after the 9:30am service, open to all Church members, on Sunday, 22 July 2018.  Churchwardens

RIVERHEAD HELPING HANDS

'Riverhead Helping Hands' is an initiative between St Mary's and the Parish Council and was brought about by a tragic incident which happened to an elderly person living on their own in Riverhead. The aim is to try and make people more aware of looking out for their neighbours. Further details and contacts are given in the following notice.

CHARITIES BEING SUPPORTED 2018/9

Following consultation with Church members, the PCC decided to support the following charities this year:  Maidstone Area Parents Support (MAPS) Group, Kerry West Orphanage Project, Mercy Ships, as well as the Rochester Diocese Povery & Hope Appeal.  As usual, the intention will be to invite representatives to 9:30am Sunday services, spread throughout the year, and to have retiring collections.
