#RedWednesday INITIATIVE - 22 NOVEMBER 2017
Make a stand for Faith and Freedom. This year we are supporting this initiative, which is jointly sponsored by Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) and Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW). The campaign is designed to bring together Christians and other faith communities in the UK in a united vision of religious belief which: UPHOLDS the rights of individuals to follow their faith and conscience without coercion or reprisals; PROMOTES respect and tolerance of other religious traditions; CONDEMNS acts of violence carried out in the name of religion or by regimes against religion; COMMITS to helping victims of persecution.
"Freedom to believe – or not believe – is a fundamental human right. ..... Surely, in this day and age, it is not acceptable that a person should be denied work, housing, their liberty or their life because of their faith? .... Religious Freedom matters to us all – old and young. ...... #RedWednesday is a big opportunity to stand up for faith and freedom ..... to protect Christians and people of faith, find solutions .... and to make our world a safer place ..... Your prayers and actions can give persecuted Christians and others a voice. "
