LENT TALKS
On Saturday, 16 February 2013, in the Church Hall, the Rev'd Peter Flynn will give five short talks, with the opportunity for discussion, on: "Reading the Scriptures Through a Jewish Lens".
The day will start at 9.30am with coffee and tea. This will be followed at 10am by three talks and will include breaks and time for questions & answers:
Talk 1: The crisis facing the Church today;
Talk 2: A step into the Jewish world;
Talk 3: The Gentile captivity of the Gospels.
Lunch will be taken at approximately 1pm. Please bring your own Lunch (tea, coffee, drinks will be provided).
A further two talks will follow:
Talk 4: Mark under a Jewish lens;
Talk 5: He died according to the Scriptures.
The day will finish at approximately 4pm.
