REMEMBRANCE 2014
Address at 9:30am Remembrance Sunday Service; by Revd Peter Flynn:
St Mary's Church was open on Tuesday, 11 November 2014, from 9am to 5pm, for quiet private reflection and prayer.
On Sunday, 16 November 2014, Bill Gillett, BLESMA Support Officer for SE England, kindly gave of his time to visit us and speak at our 9:30am Service. Bill summarised the ongoing important work of BLESMA; The Limbless Veterans, and there was a retiring collection in support of their work. As a former serving soldier of 42 years, Bill was delighted to meet our very own Harry Garrett, and to 'compare notes'.
