REMEMBRANCE DAY - 11 NOVEMBER 2018

In collaboration with the Riverhead Parish Council, local arrangements are being made to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War. Residents are invited to gather outside the Church, at around 10:40am, in readiness for a short service and the Two Minutes Silence at 11:00am. Wreaths will then be laid at the War Memorial which is in the grounds of the Village Hall. (See also:  www.wwwriverheadmemorial.com/). Immediately afterwards, everyone is invited to a Vintage Tea Party in the Village Hall; featuring cakes which were favourites at the time of WW1.

Dunton Green also has its Annual Act of Remembrance.  Their service will take place as usual at the War Memorial on London Road, at 10:45am. This year the service will be followed by a talk in the Village Hall (next to the War Memorial) to which everyone is warmly invited.
